The 羞羞视频 Film Institute's 35th Annual Film Series will continue with a screening of Lasse Hallstrom鈥檚 My Life as a Dog on February 5th.
A multifaceted masterpiece set in Sweden of the late 1950s, this seriocomic story chronicles the experiences of a confused twelve-year-old boy shipped out during his mother鈥檚 terminal illness to stay with relatives in the country. 贬补濒濒蝉迟谤辞尘鈥檚 film is most of all about perspective鈥攖he relativity of the trivial and the cosmic, the painful and the comic. A film from the 1980s that has endured, this international film played for half a year in many large US cities and is the rare foreign film nominated for Best Director and Screenplay Oscars.
The screening will begin at 2:00PM at the Kerr McGee Auditorium in the Meinders School of Business at NW 27th Street and McKinley Ave. A discussion will follow the presentation for those who wish to stay. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
