ذكذكتسئµ Hosts Nursing Conference

ذكذكتسئµâ€™s Kramer School of Nursing and the Oklahoma Nurses Association will host “Sustainable Cultures: The Nurse Leader’s Role,â€‌ June 9. The featured speaker will be Cole Edmonson. Along with Edmonson, Dr. June Marshall and Gail Maxwell will be leading discussions on topics such as nurse manager engagement and leadership values.

Edmonson is the chief nursing officer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. He has led two organizations to Magnet and Magnet re-designation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He has published numerous articles on topics as diverse as succession planning, moral courage, nurse bullying and balancing the interests of hospitals and academic researchers.

Edmonson was named a 2012 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation executive nurse fellow, joining a select group of nurse leaders chosen to participate in the three-year leadership development program, which aims to enhance nurse leaders’ effectiveness in improving the nation’s health care system.

Edmonson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Christian University.

The Oklahoma Nurses Association will provide six contact hours of continuing education for nurses who successfully complete this educational activity. The Kramer School of Nursing is located at N.W. 27th and Blackwelder Ave. in ذكذكتسئµ.
