National Merit Scholars

OCU University is committed to the recruitment and retention of National Merit Finalists, National Achievement Scholars, and National Hispanic Scholars. Most of our merit scholar students have two OCU University counselors to help make the transition from high school to college as seamless as possible. Students must complete a FAFSA to qualify.

Merit Scholar Benefits

  • OCU University offers a $1,000 scholarship for students named National Merit Finalists. The scholarship is renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Requirements

  • Submit a National Merit Finalist Letter from the to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Notify the National Merit Scholarship Corporation of your plans to enroll at OCU University.
  • Complete FAFSA.

Achievement Scholar Benefits

  • OCU University offers a $1,000 scholarship for students named National Achievement Finalists. The scholarship is renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

  • Must be academically admitted to OCU University.
  • Submit National Achievement Finalist Letter from the National Achievement Scholarship Program to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Complete FAFSA.

Hispanic Scholar Benefits

  • OCU University offers a $1,000 scholarship for students named National Hispanic Finalists. The scholarship is renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Requirements

  • Must be academically admitted to OCU University.
  • Submit National Hispanic Finalist Letter from the National Hispanic Recognition Program to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Complete FAFSA.
